The walking routes of Glyndwr's Way and the Severn Way pass near the site, as does the National Cycle Route. Golf, Clay Pidgeon Shooting and the town's Sports Centre are all situated nearby.

Lakeside Caravan Park is surrounded by the Brecon Beacons National Park and is adjacent to Llangorse Common which leads down to Llangorse Lake.

The site is privately owned and managed and caters for tents, touring caravans and static holiday caravans. It is open from April / Easter to the end of October

On site there are two modern toilet blocks with hot and cold water.
