Subject: Poor service
Comment: Due to a mix up my family and I did not have a campsite booked in advance when we went to Wales. We turned up at Nant Mill campsite early in the morning as the sign outside said that it catered particularly for families. The sign also said that they did not accept bookings at 9pm (night time). The gates were opened so we assumed they were open for business and there was nothing to say that we could not book in before any particular time in the morning. There were obviously vacancies which is why we called there. Before we could get to the office, the lady who worked there stoped us in our tracks. I asked where the office was and she opinted it out. She then asked if we were all in the same family. I explained that we were families within a family. There was my brother, his partner and their two children who would have been in one tent, my sister and her boyfriend in another tent, my sister and her two children in a third tent and my neice and I in the fourth tent. The lady said that they do not cater for large families. I was about to point out that their sign stated that they cater especially for families. She then said that we should not be on the site as they were not open even though the gates were open and there was nothing to say that they opened at a particular time. I found this to be a lame excuse. She had previously pointed out where the office building was. Why have a campsite that caters especially for families and then turn families away. it does not make sense.
