Site DescriptionWalk a few steps from our Club Site at Beadnell Bay and you are among the sand dunes of the North Northumberland Heritage Coast. Venture the other way and you are in idyllic countryside.

Beadnell Bay

The Coast and Castles and National Cycle Routes pass the Club Site. Walkers will enjoy the Cheviot Hills, where an annual Challenge is held, raising money for the local Northumberland National Park Search and Rescue Team. Much of the Northumberland Heritage Coast is designated both a Heritage Coast and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has the added advantage of having very few visitors to share the golden, sandy beaches. Visit some of Northumberland’s many castles and fortified buildings – know as bastles and peletowers. These include Bamburgh, Chillingham and Kielder. The mediaeval Alnwick Castle makes a good day out, especially for Harry Potter fans who can see locations for the recent films. The Grand Cascade is the largest water feature of its kind in the UK. It’s in Alnwick Garden. Beadnell Harbour is famous for its watersports, attracting divers, anglers, windsurfers and canoeists. Our Club Site has an external shower for people in wet suits. Take a boat from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, home to around 55,000 pairs of nesting puffins.
