Subject: Poor Review
Comment: Unfortunately, I am unable to give a review of the site itself as I never made it past the entry barrier. On arrival at the site at 7.05pm I was rudely welcomed by the female member of staff. She spoke in a very short and abrupt manner. I ask her if it was possible to get a bottle of gas (we had run out) and she said she wasn't going to open the sop for me. It turns out she didn't even need to open the shop as the gas was out the back. I did get the bottle of gas, handed over the money and informed her I didn't want the change. I enquired as to why she was being so rude and she told me that she had worked for 6 weeks without a day off (not my problem, surely?). Another gentleman (I use the term loosely, as he was no gentleman) had appear by this time and was equally as rude. He told me I shouldn't be speaking to his staff "in that way". I assure you I was nothing but polite - tired and hungry, yes, but polite all the same. He advised that perhaps I should just "turn my rig round and leave" which I did. There was no way I had any intention of pitching up here. It was at this point that my change was thrown violently at me. Thankfully these projectile coin s didn't reach as far as me or my car otherwise they could have done some damage. All in all a disappointing experience - particularly as this site is affiliated to the caravan club. I will now avoid at all costs and advise anyone else wishing to stay there to be aware of these nasty people. Caravanning should be a friendly and enjoyable experience. On this occasion this was not the case. Do these people not realise that it is the customer that pays their wages???

Comment: This is a wonderful site for all. The children will love the play area, and Blair Drummond Safari Park is a great day out, no matter what the weather. There is an air of tranquility here. (The odd roar of a lion adds to the "camping wild" feel). The site is set in beautiful surroundings and the location is ideal for discovering the area.
