Site DescriptionThis Site has a dual personality. Located just off the A1(M), it is the perfect place to stop-off on the way to Scotland or down through England. Its other side is as a peaceful, away-from-it-all Site, on the banks of the river Ure. Perfect for fishing, sailing or simply relaxing.

The market town of Boroughbridge is a short walk from the Site. Its main street has some fine buildings from its time as a coaching stop. Today you will find a supermarket and places to eat as well as specialist shops. Buses to Harrogate stop outside the Club Site. The Cathedral City of the Dales, Ripon, is only six miles away. Newby Hall is a superb Robert Adam house set in 25 acres of award-winning gardens. Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden form a World Heritage Site – not to be missed. Knaresborough, south of Boroughbridge, has a beautiful crag-top setting on a gorge of the River Nidd with the remains of an ancient castle; riverside walks and cafés; the curious Dropping Well; and the semilegendary figure of Mother Shipton and her prophecies. See 4,000 years of Yorkshire life at the Ryedale Folk Museum, from the tiniest of Neolithic flints to the oldest daylight photographic studio. Fishing is permitted from the Site. You could catch roach, perch, dace, pike, chub or even trout and grayling. If the weather is bad, there is a recreation hall on Site. It holds a pool table and a television. There’s a small play area for under tens on Site.
