Subject: SHOWER FACILITIES
Comment: We have just spent the weekend at this camp site and although the setting is idyllic the toilet block let the place down. This block serves 2 fields, inadequately. There are 2 showers and 4 toilets in all, the site was very busy and we had to queue, which we don't mind except the toilets were a disgrace and let the site down. They had not been cleaned overnight Saturday and definately not Sunday, there was grass everywhere and one bucket nearby had no water or disinfectant in as some sites do, in order to wash out before the next person goes in. When this was mentioned to the owner on his fee collection Sunday morning he said the last time they had 150 people in they hired extra facilities but it cost one nights fee to cover this expense, if an average of £12.50 x 75 plots was taken, would it not have been cheaper to buy the things for future use. Also may we suggest taking out the wash-up facilities and extend the loos/showers, build a canopy and put the washing up out there. Also get a decent cleaner in it would have made a difference to our stay.
