Comment: Recently stayed for a week on this site in a hired caravan. The site is well-positioned for exploring the East of Exmoor, and there is plenty to enjoy. The caravan was very clean and well-equipped, and adequately spaced from other caravans. Space for touring vans and tents was tighter, the site being busy even despite poor weather. The site has a river which can be played in (bounded on one side by caravans, and on the other by a road). The trees are nice but rain dripping of them onto the caravan roof at night was disturbing. More disturbing still was the lack of effective guidance for parents re exercising reasonable control over the whereabouts of their children, which mean't that even late into the evening other campers were being 'treated' to their natural rampaging exuberance. I saw no designated place for the youngsters to legitimately 'hangout'. The horseriding was popular, so popular that there was a tendency for riders to be processed as in a production-line -but maybe that is all that £15 an hour buys nowadays. Too the junior's unaccompanied route is unexciting The reception/shop staff are welcoming and friendly. Caravan / Campsite Burrowhayes farm, caravan/ campsite Approx. Location Horner, Near Porlock, Exmoor, Somerset
