Site DescriptionThis one acre park (and overspill field), is situated in the Snowdonia National Park on the quiet outskirts of the village of Llanuwchllyn and is surrounded by stunning scenery. It is located in a large valley overlooked by the Aran and Arenig mountains and is only one mile from Bala Lake, the largest natural Lake in Wales. The village facilities, including an excellent pub serving good home made food and a grocery/post office, are only a 10 minute walk away.The park is an ideal base to explore the areas many attractions including scenic walks. It is especially well located to walk the Aran mountains as you could start your walk from the park! It is also good bird watching country - 40 species of birds were recently seen in only one day from the park and its adjoining land!!Our guests are welcome to fish and play in our 300 metre stretch of the shallow river Twrch (a tributary of the Dee) which runs along the edge of the park.The nearby Bala Lake Narrow Gauge Steam Railway is popular with visitors of all ages and exclusive weekly tickets are available.
