Comment: We introduced our no visitor policy for the following reason: As we are very centrally located in the UK we were finding that so many day visitors were coming on site they were swamping the facilities. This meant that guests staying on site were unable to use facilities, eg swimming pool, that they had paid to enjoy. This obviously led to unhappy customers! Since adopting the rule this problem has been solved. The fact that we don't accept day visitors is clearly stated on our website and in our brochure so that potental guests are aware of the fact before staying with us. The Callow Inn is only licensed to serve alcohol to guests staying on site and not to the general public. We provide entertainment at least 3 times per week throughout peak season including family discos, bingo and live vocalists. A full entertainment programme is available on our website from the start of each season.

Comment: Ihave stayed at this site twice. On both occasions the authoritarian attitude of the staff has been apparent, this is reflected by the NO VISITOR RULE which is disgraceful(even H.M's prisons allow visitors). Visitors do generate costs, justifying day tickets, these have a relaxing effect and offer a sense of belonging. There are none. Secondly this is not a £20+ a night site as none or little entertainment is provided. Good points ...their are none as clean toilets and other facilities are expected as norm.I will not be staying here again NOTE....Does the no visitor rule contravene the alcohol sales licence and general planning consent for the site? (Council take note).
