Subject: Carradale Bay Campsite
Comment: I first visited Carradale 11 years ago upon the recommendation of friends that have been visiting the area since the late sixties and have returned every year since. If peace and quiet is your game then this is the place and, to me, well worth the 350 mile drive from Leeds. Upon my recommendation my mother and her husband visited Carradale with their caravan 5 years ago and have now retired there. The campsite itself is within 20 yards of a beach 6 tenths of mile long and with golden sands that are frequently deserted. You could be forgiven for having a sense of having left the world behind when visiting Carradale. The amenities on the campsite are of the highest quality and this is reflected in the pitch fees. The fees quoted in 'The Campsite Guide' are wildly understated. The site has recently changed hands but this does not seem to have affected standards adversely.
