Comment: We arrived for the weekend and as the the first to arrive were greeted by Steve who showed us a few pitches to choose from, even offered us a cup of tea or coffee. With harvest underway some good hay baling to be seen in the evening and later Brenda ( who handles all enquiries very efficiently by phone or email ) came and gave us more advice on pubs and walks in the area, walking in the area is fantastic and you are right at the heart of it staying at this campsite. There was also a wealth of information on walks and pubs available near the toilet which was kept spotlessly clean, I just wish there was maybe one more toilet, showers I can live without but sometimes you just want to go. On Saturday night a massive ice machine was set up in the covered washing up area ( which had plenty of hot water ) , and we wished we had brought gin and tonic, it would have been perfect, even in the week Brenda and Steve will supply you with ice cubes/hot water on request. I cannot emphasize enough how friendly and helpful yet not intrusive they are. I was allowed to play with the pet ferret, chickens roamed the campsite in the early hours feeding on scraps. This campsite is small and secluded & I almost want to write a bad review to keep it to myself. We had a perfect weekend and hope to return.
