Site DescriptionDrumshademuir is situated mid-way between Kirriemuir and Glamis. Nestled in the scenic and fertile Strathmore Valley it is seperated from the River Tay and Dundee by the strolling Sidlaw Hills.

Three miles from the park sits Glamis Castle. The castle is the family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne and a royal residence since 1372. Childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, birthplace of Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret and legendary setting for Shakespeare's famous play 'Macbeth'.

Kirriemuir, ‘The Little Red Town’ is the birthplace of world famous author Sir James Barrie of ‘Peter Pan’ fame and the ‘Thrums’ novels.

The quaint red sandstone town is the gateway to the celebrated Angus Glens. The glens reach far into the foothills of the towering Grampian Mountains with opportunities for outdoor pursuits from gentle rambles to serious mountaineering and skiing. The Angus Glens are included within the National Park.

Subject: Touring Caravan
Comment: This site is well maintained, with a small but pleasant kiddies play area located within it. Also, there is an adjoining restaurant which serves nice meals at reasonable prices. The warden is most helpful to those in need, and the park's shop stocks a suitable range of supplies. Our family have used this park as a base for visiting nearby Glamis and Kirriemuir, and find its rates very reasonable.

Comment: we have stayed here on a regular basis because the owners are very nice and will try their best to accommadate you. the site is clean and the toilet blocks(2) are kept spotless
