Site DescriptionIn the heart of the South Downs – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – is our Graffham Club Site. The pitches are surrounded by trees and in the spring there is a carpet of bluebells around the Site.

Petworth town is a few miles to the south of Site. It has shops, antiques retailers and plenty of places to eat out. The Cottage Museum is a typical estate worker’s cottage from the beginning of the 20th century. The National Trust property of Petworth House has a 30-acre woodland garden. The estate was landscaped by “Capability” Brown. Amberley Working Museum has more than 30 buildings housing working craftspeople and exhibitions. Graffham Weavers Workshop has a permanent display of work. It also hosts courses on weaving. Bignor Roman Villa has some of the best preserved Roman mosaics anywhere in the world. Iping and Stedham Common both have nature reserves. Lizards and adders bask here on hot days. Littlehampton, Worthing and Bognor Regis all have lovely sandy beaches and are a short drive away. The Tangmere Aviation Museum gives an insight into the RAF. It is sited on a Battle of Britain airfield. The town of Arundel is to the south east. It has a castle, museum and heritage centre. There are six marked walks from the Site. It is less than two miles from the South Downs Way.
