Site DescriptionThe site is rather unique due to its situation built on an old disused railway line.
The driveway itself-runs along the embankment giving an elevated view of beautiful countryside. A pool at the side of the road indicates the site entrance. The main feature is a large three arch railway bridge harbouring the kitchen and Tearooms.

There is a picnic area to the south of the bridge (where you can enjoy breakfasts or teas) set between
high fossilised banks showing 400,000,000 years of evolution in the strata, many fossils can be seen protruding.

The Camping/Caravan field is well secluded with high banks to the east and west of the vans, creating a natural windbreak. There are facilities for 16 vans on hook-up’s. The toilets with wash hand basin & small laundry room are situated under the bridge arches. There are disposal facilities with tap and two other stand pipes for drinking water. A continental shower is also available.

Comment: We found the site rather neglected. Toilets a, showers and washing up facilities leave something to be desired.The site has a good fishing pond and it is very picturesque.WEould have been better if it was cheaper

Subject: Owners dogs allowed to foul grass area
Comment: The site facilities are very poor and not looked after.Nothing like the pictures on the web site.Owners dogs allowed to roam around and one of them messed three times near our motor home during the weekend and nobody around to speak to about it. Definately not a place to take children.
