Subject: Good site but too busy over bank holiday
Comment: This is a well situated site and it's a lovely walk along the river to Bodiam Castle (and pub) but we visited the camp site over the bank holiday and it was very clearly over full. There was complete confusion at the gates on arrival, regardless of whether one had booked a month in advance, and once in we really struggled to find a place to set up. In the end we managed to find a seperate field (which was actually lovely as we had the entire field to ourselves and we were away from the noise of the main site) but it did mean we were at least 10 min walk to the toilets. This could mean a 30 minute round trip a few times a day! In addition, the rest of our group (4 couples in total) arrived about an hour after us and they were refused entry. It was just pure luck that the owner was driving past the field and we stopped her - and she arranged for our friends to join us. I would consider visiting again but never on a bank holiday again. It's too much of a strain on the toilets, washing rooms, hot water etc. Saying this, we had a lovely weekend in a beuatiful setting so can't complain. Happy Camping!

Comment: We just spent 1 night at Park Farm and it was great. Really chilled out even though it was busy. Top tip, buy your logs early as they had run out by the time we'd walked back from nearby Bodiam Castle. No hot water in the morning also, but still a nice vibe.
