The Park is located at the heart of Cornwall's historic tin mining country and situated in the coastal village of Porthtowan. The village offers a sandy beach plus a selection of pubs and restaurants all just four minutes level walk from the park.
Porthtowan is one of the UK's premier surfing beaches. It really is great fun for all the family. Life guards ensure your safety and the shallow areas and pools are ideal for the little ones. Surfing lessons and equipment hire are available in the village.

For walkers, the South West Coastal Path provides a memorable experience with its many breathtaking views and a wonderful opportunity to take in the local flora and fauna. Porthtowan is in an "Area of outstanding natural beauty".

Rosehill is an excellent centre for touring the whole of Cornwall and is within easy reach of Truro - Cathedral City, St Ives - Tate Gallery, Newquay - Zoo, Penzance - Heliport to Isles of Scilly, Falmouth - Maritime Museum and St Austell - Eden Project. Land's End is just 28 miles away. When you are this far west everything seems to be close by.
