Site DescriptionThe Shrubbery Touring Park is situated within the designated area of the World Heritage Coastline. Right on the Devon and Dorset border it is just 3 miles from picturesque Lyme Regis with its sandy beach, harbour and famous cob.

The level 10-acre site is enclosed by mature trees with distant views to the surrounding countryside, providing a quiet and relaxing environment in which to enjoy this beautiful tranquil setting by the sea. Generous pitches means there is plenty of space to park next to your van or tent, spread out and enjoy some privacy. Touring caravans, and tents are all welcome – as are group rallies.

The Park is owned and run by Margaret and John Godfrey and has been in the family since 1966. They are assisted by a friendly team of staff who will assure you a warm welcome and will do their best to help make your stay enjoyable. They are proud that many of their customers have been returning to the Shrubbery year after year.

All the pitches are well drained with water and disposal points nearby, and all van pitches have electric hook-up points. There are some sturdy wooden picnic tables in the tent camping area and dotted around the Park for your convenience.

The large centrally located washroom includes toilets, washbasins, showers, disabled facilities and dishwashing sinks (free hot water to all basins and showers). In addition, there are toilets and showers situated at the top and bottom end of the Park and laundrette and ironing facilities. All facilities are regularly checked, serviced and cleaned to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.

Children will enjoy the large play area with various swings, slide and climbing equipment. Wide open spaces means there is plenty of room to run around, play ball or fly a kite! Well-behaved pets are welcome on a lead and there is an extensive dog exercise area away from the main Park.

Due to our proximity to Lyme Regis, the park makes an ideal base for boating enthusiasts. Boat owners can securely park their boat and trailer close to their pitch and launch from the slipway at Lyme Regis within minutes!

A small site shop is open daily (from Easter until early September) where fresh milk and other basic provisions can be obtained along with other camping accessories such as Calor Gas, ice pack freezing and battery charging service. There is also a general store and fuel station adjacent to The Park entrance.

Located close to the Devon, Dorset and Somerset borders, the Park is ideally located to explore the magnificent surrounding countryside and coastline. Apart from Lyme Regis itself with it’s bustling historic streets, numerous restaurants and famous harbour, there are many places of interest nearby. A short drive away is the secluded Undercliffs National Nature Reserve – this area was the scene of a massive landslip on Christmas Day in 1839 when a vast area of the cliff slid towards the sea forming a deep chasm which has now become a unique woodland nature reserve popular with naturalists and walkers. Further along the Dorset Coast there’s Charmouth and West Bay famous for their Jurassic fossils and beaches. To the west is the beautiful River Axe valley and estuary, the quaint fishing villages of Branscombe and Beer, and the elegant regency seaside town of Sidmouth.
