Site DescriptionAn orchard in Slindon Park is home to our Club Site – part of 3,500 acres of land owned by the National Trust. It is a haven for wildlife and has beautiful views across the West Sussex coastal plain.

The village of Slindon is mainly owned by the National Trust. Its flint and brick cottages are alongside a Post Office and delicatessen. Several local pubs serve food. Denmans is one of several beautiful gardens in the area. The four-acre garden at Fontwell is based on a tamed wilderness. Parham Elizabethan House and formal gardens have a deer park. Arundel is four miles to the east. The city has an interesting Museum and Heritage Centre, a Wildfowl and Wetlands Nature Reserve and impressive cathedral. Barnham Windmill is a 19th century windmill under restoration. Littlehampton and Bognor Regis have lovely, safe beaches for children. Petworth House is a 17th century mansion set in parkland. It was immortalised by the painter Turner. Bosham is a pretty village by a natural harbour. Canute is reputed to have tried to hold back the tide here. Our Slindon Site is designed for those who prefer minimal facilities. Campers who would prefer a toilet or shower block should stay at Graffham or Chichester – a few miles away.

Comment: One of our favourite sites since 2003. It has no facilities but that adds to the get away from it all feeling when we motorhome

Comment: This site is a truly magical place for those who love a sunny peaceful site with a friendly manager. The site is good for bird life and has an interesting layout with old orchard trees and a large clipped hedge.

Comment: we stayed here and it was awful the fields were slushy and marshy our tents were wrecked by the end of our stay. The staff were also rude!!!
